Christopher DeMuth is D.C. Searle senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research
in Washington, D.C., having served as AEI’s president from 1986–2008. Before coming to AEI he had been a practicing
lawyer and economic consultant, a teacher at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard, and editor and publisher of Regulation
magazine, and had served in White House positions in the Reagan and Nixon administrations. He is a director of the State
Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company and a small family firm. Mr. DeMuth's essays have appeared in The American Enterprise,
Harvard Law Review, Yale Journal of Regulation, Wall Street Journal, Commentary, and
other publications.
